Jane Iredale So Bronze Bronzing powder 01

Jane Iredale So Bronze Bronzing powder 01As a beauty blogger, there are a lot of products that land on my makeup table to try. Some I love, some  are ok and some I wouldn’t be overly fond of. However, it is very rare that a product that I have heard absolutely nothing about before, comes and completely blows me away. Yet that is exactly what happened with the Jane Iredale So bronze bronzer.

Over the years, I have come across many bronzers that I have really loved. They were perfect colours,  blended well into my skin and overall worked very well for me. I thought I had my bronzer stash worked out. That was until I started using the Jane Iredale So Bronze bronzer. I don’t say this lightly but this bronzer is incredible!!!

For those of you that don’t know Jane Iredale is a mineral makeup brand, made without talc, parabens and synthetic fragrance. Jane Iredale makeup is said to be long wearing, natural makeup that allows your skin to breathe! If I am honest, I don’t normally gravitate towards mineral makeup. I have found some bits that I have liked across different brands, but nothing I have tried compares to this beauty.

Jane Iredale So Bronze Bronzing powder 01The So Bronze Bronzing powder in the shade 1, looks a little orange in the pan and if you google, it will tell you that it is a terracotta shade with flecks of gold to help give your skin glow. When I first set eyes on this bronzing powder, I really was not taken with it at all. There was no way that this shade would suit my fairly pale Irish skin. I could not have been more wrong.

dsc_2954The Jane Iredale bronzing powder is honestly the most natural bronzer I have ever tried. It literally melts into your skin giving you an unbelievably gorgeous, yet natural bronzed glow. When contouring, this powder creates that subtle shading that gives the illusion of cheekbones. While I personally wouldn’t use it for a night-time contour, as I tend to like something a little heavier at night, during the day, this stuff is incredible. I can’t sing high enough praise for how beautiful it is on the skin. This would also be a beautiful bronzer for bridal makeup.

Jane Iredale So Bronze Bronzing powder 01Not only does this bronzing powder look good, but it is a dream to work with. I love to use the Harley brush from Nima brush to apply it. The bronzer has fantastic colour pay off and as a result a light hand or not so dense brush is needed. Although even if you do go a little OTT, it is so easy to blend the you won’t end up looking like you’ve a dirty face.

dsc_2956The powder and the gorgeous rose gold compact are actually sold separately. You have the option of buying the two together which will set you back a total of €45 which is on the expensive side. However, the powder is actually sold as a refill for €30, so if you don’t want to buy both, you could stick the refill in a z palette. dsc_2939

I honestly can’t sing high enough praise for this bronzer. I know it’s “only a bronzer” but I really feel this has given my skin such a beautiful natural contoured look. If you’re a fan of a full on, suck in you cheeks dark contour, this isn’t for you. But if you’re like me and like something more subtle than this is the one for you.

You can buy the Rose gold compact here and the refill here.
